Three Noise-Cancelling Modes for a Customized Listening Experience

The ATH-S300BT headphones feature ambience control functions to adjust your exposure to surrounding noise, including a hear-through function that lets you catch ambient sounds while listening to music, and a noise-cancelling function, allowing you to reduce unwanted background noise. The three modes—hear-through, noise-cancelling, and OFF—can be switched at any time with just the press of a button to suit your situation.

Hear-through function to maintain awareness of your surroundings

The built-in microphones capture ambient sounds so you can remain aware of your surroundings while wearing the headphones. Switch to this mode when you want to listen to the environment around you.

Hybrid digital noise-cancelling technology to create your very own sound space*

Suppress unnecessary noise in everyday situations such as studying at home or traveling in busy environments. Switch to noise-cancelling mode when you wish to focus on your music or calm your mind. The battery provides up to 90 hours of playback with noise-cancelling mode off, and up to 60 hours with noise-cancelling on.*2 This means that, when using the headphones continuously for 9 hours per day, the battery will last about 10 days without needing to be charged. Even if the battery runs out of power, charging for a mere 3 minutes will provide up to 2.5 hours of use (with noise-cancelling off). This makes it possible to give the battery a quick, helpful charge while you’re getting ready to head out.

The headphones can also be used as wired headphones by connecting them directly to audio equipment using the included cable (3.5 mm (1/8″) gold-plated stereo mini-plug).* This is useful when the remaining battery is low or when you want to use a wired connection.
